The Wiz

We are delighted to announce that the first York Stage Youth
production will be the fabulous WIZ! Membership details and
audition dates will be available very soon.
The Broadway WIZ opened on January 5, 1975 and ran for four
years and over 1600 performances, winning seven Tony Awards,
including Best Musical. The most popular song from the production
was “Ease on Down the Road”, sung by the characters as they dance
down the Yellow Brick Road. The most recent revival at La Jolla
Playhouse was directed by Des McAnuff!!
